Effortlessly Merging Your Zapier Accounts for Streamlined Automation

Published on Feb 28th, 2024

In an age where efficiency is paramount, managing multiple Zapier accounts can become cumbersome. Fortunately, merging Zapier accounts can streamline your workflow, allowing you to combine your resources, zaps, and data under a single account umbrella. This consolidation simplifies account management and optimizes your automation processes.

Before proceeding with a merge, it’s essential to note that Zapier does not currently offer a direct feature to merge accounts through the user interface. However, you can accomplish a manual merge by following these steps:

Step 1: Choose a Primary Account
Decide on which of your Zapier accounts will serve as the primary account to which you'll be moving your zaps and tasks.

Step 2: Transfer Your Zaps
You'll need to recreate or manually transfer zaps from your secondary accounts to the primary account. Document all active zaps in secondary accounts, ensuring you have all the necessary details, including trigger and action steps, to replicate them.

Step 3: Share Zaps Between Accounts
Utilize Zapier's 'Shared Zaps' feature to share zaps from the secondary account to the primary one. You can do this by choosing the 'Share' option within a zap and sending an invite to your primary account's email.

Step 4: Reconfigure Integrations
You will need to set up your integrations again under your primary account. Log in to the primary account and authorize the connections to your apps and services as required.

Step 5: Test Your Zaps
Once transferred, test your zaps in the primary account to ensure they're working correctly. This is a critical step to verify that all integrations and workflows operate as intended before you deactivate the secondary accounts.

Step 6: Deactivate Secondary Accounts
After you've successfully transferred and tested all zaps in the primary account, you can deactivate or close your secondary Zapier accounts.

Keep in mind that this is a manual process and may take some time, especially if you have a significant number of zaps and integrations. Patience and meticulous attention to replicating each zap will be key to a successful merge.

By streamlining your accounts, you're not just tidying your digital workspace; you're paving the way for a more coherent and efficient automation system that can enhance your productivity manifold. Remember to keep your login information secure, and regularly review your zaps for updates or improvements.
