Mastering Printing in Airtable: Steps to Take for Hard Copies of Your Data
Published on Mar 30th, 2024
Printing data from Airtable can be a valuable way to share information with those who prefer hard copies or require physical documents. Here's how to print your Airtable records with ease:
Step 1: Open Your Base
Navigate to Airtable and open the base that contains the data you want to print.
Step 2: Select Your View
Choose the view that displays the data in the format you wish to print. This could be a Grid, Calendar, Gallery, or Kanban view.
Step 3: Adjust the Visible Fields
Customize your view by hiding or showing fields to ensure only the necessary data will be printed.
Step 4: Activate the Print Mode
Click on the 'View' menu in the upper left corner of the page, and select 'Print'. This will open a new window with print-friendly formatting.
Step 5: Configure Your Print Settings
In the print preview mode, you can adjust settings such as orientation, scaling, margins, and more to ensure your data prints exactly how you'd like it.
Step 6: Print Your Document
Once you have confirmed the settings, click the 'Print' button in your browser or press Ctrl + P
(Cmd + P on a Mac) to open the print dialog box. Choose your printer, confirm your settings one last time, and then click 'Print'.
Keep in mind that Airtable's print function is best suited for simple layouts and smaller datasets. For complex printing needs, consider using Airtable's integrations with third-party services or exporting your data for use in a programme designed for print layout.
By following these steps, you can transfer your digital workspace into a neatly organized paper format, enabling broader accessibility and distribution of your data within your team or to your clients.
