By connecting Contact Form 7 to Zapier, you can automate tasks such as adding new form submissions to a spreadsheet, sending customized email notifications, or updating your CRM. Here's a step-by-step guide to integrate Contact Form 7 with Zapier:

Step 1: Install and Activate Contact Form 7

Ensure you have Contact Form 7 installed and activated on your WordPress site. You can download it from the WordPress repository or find it under plugins in your WordPress dashboard.

Step 2: Create a Form

Design your form within Contact Form 7 and place the shortcode on your site where you want the form to appear.

Step 3: Sign Up or Log In to Zapier

Head over to Zapier and either sign in to your existing account or create a new one.

Step 4: Create a Zap

Click on 'Make a Zap!' button. Zap is a blueprint for the task you want to do over and over in Zapier.

Step 5: Select Contact Form 7 as Trigger App

Choose Contact Form 7 from the list of apps as your trigger, which will start your automation.

Step 6: Choose a Trigger Event

Select the trigger event, 'New Form Submission', which occurs every time a new form is submitted.

Step 7: Connect WordPress to Zapier

You will then be prompted to connect your WordPress site to Zapier by entering your website's URL and generating an API key.

Step 8: Set Up Trigger

Customize the form submission data you want Zapier to retrieve and test the trigger to ensure it's working properly.

Step 9: Select an Action App

After setting up the trigger, choose the app where you want to send your form data once it's collected. This could be Google Sheets, Salesforce, Slack, or any of the other thousands of apps integrated with Zapier.

Step 10: Choose an Action Event

Select the action to be performed in your chosen app when a new form submission is detected.

Step 11: Test and Activate the Zap

Finally, test your Zap to confirm everything works as expected, and once satisfied, activate it.

With your Contact Form 7 now successfully integrated with Zapier, data from your contact forms will automatically funnel into your selected applications, cutting down on manual data entry and optimizing your digital strategy.
