Exporting data from Airtable allows users to utilize their data in various other applications or simply for record-keeping. Here's how to export your tables from Airtable effectively.

Step 1: Select the View to Export

Before exporting, choose the correct view. Airtable allows you to create multiple views (Grid, Calendar, Kanban, etc.), so ensure you're in the one that displays the data you wish to export.

Step 2: Click the '...' Menu

On the top right corner of your Airtable base, find the '...' menu button. Clicking on it will open a dropdown menu with various options.

Step 3: Choose 'Download CSV'

From the dropdown menu, select 'Download CSV'. This action prompts Airtable to prepare your data in CSV format, which is compatible with spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

Step 4: Open/Save the File

After clicking 'Download CSV', a CSV file will be automatically downloaded to your default downloads folder. Open it with your preferred spreadsheet application, or save it to a different location for later use.

  • Check Data Type Compatibility: Ensure that the application you're importing your data into can handle the data types exported from Airtable.
