Step-by-Step Guide to Deleting Your Zapier Account

Published on Feb 28th, 2024

If you've decided that Zapier no longer fits your automation needs, you might be considering how to close your account. Deleting your Zapier account is a straightforward process, but there are some important steps to keep in mind to ensure your account and all associated data are properly removed.

Step 1: Cancel Any Active Subscriptions

Before you can delete your account, make sure to cancel any active subscriptions. You can do this by going to your settings and finding the 'Billing' section.

Settings > Billing > Cancel Subscription

Step 2: Remove Your Zaps

It's wise to delete any Zaps you've created to ensure no automated tasks continue after your account is closed.

Dashboard > Selected Zap > Delete

Step 3: Export Your Data

If you have any data or task histories you wish to keep, now is the time to export them.

Task History > Export

Step 4: Contact Customer Support

Currently, Zapier does not allow users to delete accounts directly through the account settings. You'll need to reach out to their customer support through the contact form or email.

Help & Support > Contact Support

Provide them with the email associated with your account and any relevant details for your request.

Step 5: Confirm Account Deletion

Once you've contacted support, they will assist you with the account deletion process. Ensure that you receive confirmation that your account has been deleted to avoid any unintended account reactivations.

Remember to remove any connected apps or services that were linked to your Zapier account to maintain your digital privacy and security.

Closing your Zapier account doesn't have to be complicated. By following these clear steps, you can ensure a smooth and secure departure from Zapier's services.
