Step-by-Step Guide to Disconnecting Your Google Account from Zapier

Published on Feb 28th, 2024

Integrating Google services with Zapier can streamline many of your business processes. However, there may come a time when you need to disconnect your Google account from Zapier. Whether it's for security reasons or just a change in your workflow, here's how you can safely sever the connection.

Step 1: Log in to Your Zapier Account

Begin by signing into your Zapier account where your Google connection is configured.

Step 2: Access Your Connected Accounts

Navigate to your profile icon at the top-right corner, then click on 'Settings'. From the left-hand sidebar, choose 'Connected Accounts' or 'Apps'.

Step 3: Find Your Google Connection

Within your list of connected accounts, look for Google. You may have several Google accounts linked, so ensure you choose the correct one you wish to disconnect.

Step 4: Disconnect Google

Click on the Google account you wish to remove. You'll be taken to a new page where you will see the option to 'Disconnect.' Click on this to proceed.

Step 5: Confirm Your Decision

Zapier will ask for confirmation that you want to disconnect your account. If you're sure, proceed by clicking the confirmation button. This action will revoke Zapier's access to your Google account.

Step 6: Check Google Security Settings (Optional)

As an additional step, consider visiting your Google Account security settings to ensure Zapier's permissions are fully removed.

By following these steps, you can be certain that your Google account is no longer connected to Zapier, giving you control over your data and integrations.

Note: This action will stop all the zaps running between your disconnected Google account and Zapier. Ensure that you have an alternative setup in place if these zaps are critical to your operations.
