I don't see the "Download Selected" button

ThreadPDF doesn't add an icon to the Gmail toolbar. The button only appears after you select at least one email. First, reload your Gmail tab (⌘/Ctrl + R) so the extension loads. Then tick the checkbox next to one or more emails — a blue "Download Selected" button will appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen. If it's still missing, open Chrome's extensions menu (the puzzle-piece icon) and confirm ThreadPDF is enabled; pinning it makes this easier to check.

The button was there, then it disappeared

That's expected. The button is only visible while you have emails selected. Deselect everything and it hides again; select an email and it comes back.

It says I need a subscription, but I already paid

ThreadPDF checks your subscription against the Google account you're currently signed into in Gmail. Make sure the Gmail account showing in the top-right corner of Gmail is the same email address you used to subscribe. If you're signed into multiple Google accounts, switch to the correct one, then reload Gmail.

My export is taking a long time

Large batches — dozens or hundreds of threads, or big attachments — take longer because everything is processed locally in your browser for privacy. Leave the tab open while it works. When it finishes, check your browser's Downloads folder for the file or ZIP.

Does ThreadPDF upload my emails anywhere?

No. Everything runs on-device inside your browser. Your emails and attachments are never sent to Switch Labs or any third-party server, which is what makes ThreadPDF safe for legal, healthcare, finance, and other privacy-sensitive work.

Open Gmail and reload the tab
